Advanced Open Water & Nitrox Diver

The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Scuba Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

All students are required to provide complete personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins & booties). SCUBA equipment set including regulator with SPG, Depth Gauge, Dive Computer, Standard NAUI Dive Tables, Compass, SMB with reel, Underwater Flashlight are provided for course by Precision Scuba. Wetsuits may be rented for dives.

Complete Advanced Open Water SCUBA Certification with 6 beach and boat dives. 2+ days

Curriculum includes: Navigation, Night or Low Visibility Diving, Deep Diving (130 feet maximum depth), Use Dive Tables and computers to Plan Dives.

Elective Dives: Search and Recovery, Boat Diving, Light Salvage, Hunting and Collecting, Exploration and Mapping, Photography, Non-Penetration Wreck Diving, surf entry, Computers and Advanced Gear.

In the second part of this course, you will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.

After your exam, you can complete two dives to receive your Nitrox Diver certification card. In this course, your NAUI instructor will integrate your Nitrox course into your Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver course!

Divers must be in good physical condition to enroll in a NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course. Participants may be enrolled in a NAUI Scuba Diver Course or must be certified as a NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent.

Open Water Dives will be completed as Boat Dives with location to be determined based on weather and water conditions. Course fee does not include transportation, or lodging.
